​Pateley Bridge

Situated on the edge of the River Nidd, in the heart of Nidderdale AONB, Pateley Bridge is a picturesque town set in beautiful surroundings.

Pateley Bridge and the surrounding countryside has provided inspiration for writers and artists over many. In recent years the town has hosted a new festival, NiddFest, celebrating nature in writing. Its attractions keep visitors coming back year after year.

The Old Workhouse, built in 1862, is now the centre for heritage and arts in Nidderdale. The site is home to the award winning Nidderdale Museum and the specialist art and craft businesses of the King Street Workshops. You will also find Number 6 Studio Gallery, the centre for visual arts education which also hosts regular exhibitions.
