How to get here

By Bus

The Transdev Harrogate & District number 24 service runs regularly from Harrogate into Nidderdale AONB through Lower Nidderdale to Pateley Bridge. Nidderdale is also well served by Dalesbus services.

For 2016, on Sundays and Bank Holidays this includes:

812 – The Fountains Flyer from Easingwold and York to Ripon calling at Fountains Abbey and then on to Pateley Bridge and Grassington

820/859 – The Eastern Dalesman from Dewsbury via Bradford, Pateley Bridge, Ripon, Leyburn to Richmond

823/825 – The Nidderdale Ramblerfrom Selby via Wetherby and Harrogate to Pateley Bridge and then on to Upper Nidderdale.

On Saturdays a new service:

800/802 – The Dales Highwayman from Wakefield via Leeds, Otley, Pateley Bridge and Grassington to Hawes on Saturdays between 2 July and 3 September 2016.

By Train

The nearest train station is Harrogate with regular services from Leeds and York.

By Plane

The nearest airport is Leeds Bradford International Airport and a regular bus service (737) runs from the airport to Harrogate.

By Road

The AONB is easily accessible from the A1(M) and the A61 to the east and the A65, A59, M65 and M62 to the south.
